AlgoWisp makes Linesmith, a Windows and Linux app for subtitles, video translation and AI dubbing. This page covers the Linesmith app and the algowisp.com website.
Linesmith app
Linesmith has no user accounts and no analytics. It connects to the internet only for these things:
- The AI services you set up, under their own privacy terms: the subtitle text you translate, summarise or dub; with Gemini dubbing, short clips of the original speech; and, if you create your own voice, your voice sample (and the consent recording Gemini asks for).
- Polar, to activate and check your license: the license key and the computer's name.
- algowisp.com, to check for and download Linesmith updates. You can turn automatic updates off in the app.
- Downloading its speech recognition components and models on first use, and a public list of AI model prices.
This website
- No accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers, no analytics on algowisp.com.
- Your chosen website language is saved only in this browser.
- When you buy a license, the payment is handled by Polar under its own privacy policy.
- If you email us, we use your address only to reply to you.
